Asian teaching scene = Take Two

Welcome to my new personal blog about life, learning and love in South Korea! Dustin and I will be leaving Minnesota on August 10th enroute for the teeny fishing village of Beopseong in southern South Korea (yes - I'm a daddy's girl who just can't get enough of these rural Asian fishing villages!) We are so excited to explore new careers, countries and cultures with one another. We'd also love to have you tag along on our adventures...

Before we begin, we'd like to share some information about the area and give you
an idea of where to find us...
We are living in Jeollanamdo Province and in Yeonggwang County - seaside and beautiful!
Can you find us on the map(s) below?
You'll see that Yeonggwang is one of the northern most counties in the province. It is also located on the East China Sea (AKA: The Yellow Sea). As Minnesotans, we are excited to be near water - although we haven't received promising fishing reports on walleyes...

We'll be living in northern Yeonggwang -- in a small rural community of about 10,000 people. We are the only foreigners in our town, but have heard rumors of some
100 other foreigners living in the province.
The name of the town is Beopseong and, well, frankly it's so small that Google doesn't even recognize it. Rest assured, we have received many pictures from our Korean recruiter and other foreigners living nearby, so we can say with great confidence that Beopseong will prove to be a wonderful place for cultural immersion! Lastly, for those of you who are still worried about the proximity to North Korea -
rest assured that we are just about as far south as one can get in South Korea :)
Here are a few websites that you may find interesting - available in both Korean and English - that will help familiarize you with our new 'home sweet home'.
